Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Stellr mobile application ("App") or visiting stellr.app ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.

Stellr is operated by Stellr Technologies, Inc. ("Stellr", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms govern your use of the App, Website, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").

2. Eligibility

You must meet the following requirements to use Stellr:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You must not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.
  • You must not have been previously banned or removed from Stellr.
  • You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract.

We may require identity verification including but not limited to photo verification and age verification through our third-party provider, Persona. Providing false information about your age or identity is grounds for immediate account termination.

3. Account Registration

To use Stellr, you must create an account using a valid email address, phone number, or supported third-party authentication provider (Apple, Google). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary. One person may maintain only one Stellr account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate any other user.
  • Post content that is defamatory, obscene, or promotes violence or discrimination.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation.
  • Use the Service to solicit money, promote commercial products, or spam other users.
  • Attempt to access another user's account without authorization.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or collect data from the Service.
  • Circumvent or disable any security features of the Service.
  • Upload content that infringes any third party's intellectual property rights.

Violations may result in temporary suspension, permanent ban, or reporting to law enforcement at our sole discretion.

5. Content & Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of content you upload to Stellr (photos, messages, profile information). By uploading content, you grant Stellr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content solely in connection with operating and improving the Service.

Our Content: The Stellr name, logo, App design, matching algorithms, compatibility scoring systems, and all other intellectual property are owned by Stellr Technologies, Inc. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Stellr offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented at the time of purchase.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your device's App Store or Play Store settings.
  • Refunds are subject to the policies of Apple or Google, as applicable.
  • Stellr reserves the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.

7. Matching & Compatibility

Stellr uses astrological data (natal charts, zodiac compatibility), questionnaire responses, and user preferences to generate match suggestions and compatibility scores. These are provided for entertainment and informational purposes. Stellr does not guarantee romantic compatibility or any specific outcome from using the Service.

8. Privacy

Your use of Stellr is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Safety & Reporting

Stellr provides tools to block and report users who violate these Terms or make you feel unsafe. We take reports seriously and investigate them promptly. However, Stellr does not conduct criminal background checks on users and cannot guarantee the behavior of any user.

Your safety is your responsibility. When meeting someone in person, use caution: meet in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and use the in-app safety features provided.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Stellr does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STELLR TECHNOLOGIES, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO STELLR IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings screen in the App. Upon deletion, we will permanently remove your profile data, matches, conversations, and associated content in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Stellr may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Website and within the App. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
