The short version

Stellr is built as a private relationship-reflection tool for adults. We collect only what is needed to provide, secure, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information, run targeted advertising, or make private reflections public.

Astrological readings are reflective prompts, not facts about another person, health advice, professional advice, or predictions.

Information you provide

• Account details, such as email address and authentication identifiers.
• Birth information you choose to enter for yourself or another person, including dates, places, and optional times.
• Private journal entries, moments, practices, questions, and feedback you choose to save.
• Support messages, beta requests, and other communications you send to us.
• Purchase and entitlement status from the relevant app store. Stellr does not receive your full payment-card number.

Information collected automatically

We receive limited device, security, crash, and content-free product-event data needed to operate the app. Events may show that a feature was used, but are designed not to include the text of a reading, journal entry, or question.

This public website receives ordinary server logs, including IP address, browser details, requested pages, and timestamps. Waitlist requests are rate-limited to prevent abuse.

How information is used

• Provide accounts, charts, reflections, exports, purchases, and requested features.
• Protect accounts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain reliability.
• Send transactional messages, beta invitations, and product updates you requested.
• Understand aggregate feature use without reading private content.
• Comply with law and enforce our terms when reasonably necessary.

Encryption and access

Sensitive birth fields and reflection content are encrypted before storage using authenticated encryption. Access controls scope records to their owner. No security system is perfect, but privacy controls are part of the product architecture and are tested as such.

You are responsible for protecting access to your device, email account, and authentication credentials. Optional device-lock features add another local safeguard.

Offline birthplace search

Birthplace suggestions are searched and resolved on your device from a bundled GeoNames city index. Stellr does not send the text you type in birthplace search to a location provider.

GeoNames data is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License. Data is provided as is; Stellr stores only the place details you choose to save with a person.

AI-assisted answers

Most Stellr content is produced deterministically from chart inputs. When a qualifying feature uses an external model, the request is minimized and pseudonymized, provider retention is disabled where supported, and the request is not used to train a model through our account.

Private journal text is not included unless you make an explicit, request-specific choice to include it. AI output may be incomplete or wrong and should be treated as a reflection prompt only.

Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers for hosting, authentication, databases, email delivery, app distribution, purchases, error monitoring, and limited AI processing. They may process information only to provide contracted services and under their own security obligations.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the service or a person from harm, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.

Retention, export, and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and only as long afterward as needed for security, legal, billing, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes. Private content is removed through the deletion process described on our Data & deletion page.

You may request an export or deletion from the app or by contacting us. Backups and provider logs may take a limited additional period to expire.

Your choices and regional rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

To exercise a right, email privacy@stellrapp.com from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.

Adults only, international use, and changes

Stellr is not intended for anyone under 18. Do not create an account or submit personal information if you are under 18.

Information may be processed in countries other than your own, with contractual and technical safeguards where required. If this policy changes materially, we will provide notice in the app or by email before the change takes effect when required.
